STIHL connected is a smart fleet management system that enables professional users to digitally manage machine fleets and work assignments.
Smart Connector 2 A connects directly into the control module of selected professional AP System battery machines. As well as runtime, Smart Connector 2 A also collects information on the operating speed, the status of individual electronic components and ambient temperature. Also features a real time clock, meaning the data is collected accurately regardless of how often the connector syncs with a smartphone, so you can see when and for how long the tool was used. Pressing the button on the Smart Connector 2 A gives a quick indication of the status of the machine via an LED light, and highlights if a maintenance task is due. The LED can also be used in conjunction with the STIHL connected App to identify individual machines (by lighting up a LED on the connector) in large fleets.
Smart Connector 2 A offers entirely new functions and services, as a basis for device management both in your garden using the STIHL connected App, and for managing your machine fleet using the STIHL connected Portal. The STIHL connected Portal gives you a detailed overview of the status of your fleet of tools, as well as information such as duration of use on a particular work assignment.

Top handle chainsaws are specified for professional arborists or operators who can prove competence by way of certification from an approved educational body.
Occasions arise whereby warranty periods may be extended / shortened, due to promotional campaigns. Correspondence detailing these changes will be released before the promotion’s active date.
STIHL connected professional warranty extension
Extension of professional warranty by 1 year when purchased with selected professional petrol tools and AP System battery tools with a STIHL Smart Connector or Smart Connector 2 A. MotoMix® fuel domestic warranty extension
Extension of Domestic warranty from 2 to 3 years when purchased with 5 litres of MotoMix®. Domestic customers can now extend warranty cover of selected machines, when purchased along with 5 litres of MotoMix®. The extension must be registered at point of sale by the STIHL Approved Dealer. Spare Parts
Spare parts are covered by a 1 year warranty.
VIKING to STIHL transition
From 1 January 2019 all VIKING grounds care products were re-branded to become STIHL. Therefore for any warranty enquiries relating to the VIKING product range, please refer to the section labelled STIHL grounds care products.
Security updates
The iMOW® will receive security updates for at least 24 months after purchase.
ADVANCE ProCOM will receive security updates for at least 36 months after purchase.
