Description
Arborists having discovered the Sugoi will make the conscious decision of leaving their chainsaw on the ground more often. Why carrying a heavy chainsaw if the job can be done just as fast and just as easy with this aggressive and powerful pull saw
You work safer and more efficient with the Sugoi. Your reach is longer and that makes it easy to cut those extra couple branches. With the sharp sickle at the edge of the blade you can quickly cut smaller twigs and ivy. Moreover, the sickle helps the blade to stay in the kerf, giving you more control while sawing.
The ‘big’ tasks, such as the removal of trees is no problem for the Sugoi. The perfectly curved blade is made of a special metal alloy that makes the blade strong but flexible. The Sugoi saws quickly and without vibrations through the wood and leaves behind a smooth tree cut that will easily be overgrown.
The comfortable rubber-molded handle absorbs vibrations and offers lots of grip, even when wearing gloves and under wet and cold conditions. The D-ring in the handle gives you the option to secure the saw extra. The yellow scabbard is well visible and can be attached to your harness or to your leg with the provided leg straps.
Sugoi literally means ‘exceptionally good’. Because of its aggressive teeth and orange stripes on the handle, arborists have given this saw the name ‘Tree tiger’.
The Sugoi is suited for pruning fresh wood, but also takes out dead branches easily.
There are two different blade lengths available: 360 mm and 420 mm. Just as with every other Silky saw, the teeth will stay sharp for a long time. In case it would be deemed necessary, the teeth of the Sugoi can be filed with a Silky file.
The Sugoi comes with a visible, polypropylene scabbard and two leg straps. The scabbard has a detachable belt holder and rollers on the inside to prevent the teeth from damaging the case. The bottom part is equipped with a hole that drains moist and saw dust.
Technical Specifications
- High-alloy steel
- Teeth: 6.5 teeth per 30 mm
- Kerf: 1.7 mm

The blade must be kept clean to maintain its efficiency. Resin dissolves in olive oil, which is an effective and environmental friendly way to maintain the blade with. More aggressive liquids can damage the rubber material of the handle.
When not using the saw, make sure it is dry at all times. Store the saw in its scabbard in a dry place.

Silky Saws Care Guide
- Silky saws are designed to cut on the pull stroke. The thin blades will not bow because they are under tension while being pulled across the surface to be cut. If saw ever becomes caught in a branch squeeze. DO NOT PUSH HARD and NEVER WRENCH THE HANDLE. These actions may damage the blade. Always lift the weight off the blade to release the saw.
- Silky’s precision engineering results in a fine kerf, very little force is needed to saw. So do not use muscle to speed up your sawing. LET THE SAW DO THE WORK for you while you pull it across the wood.
- Impulse hardened blades cannot be re-sharpened by a hand file.
- Keep your blades clean by using solvent. Keep the solvent away from the handle.
- When not in use, store the saw in a protective sheath and away from moisture.
- Silky is not responsible for any damage resulting from the misuse of Silky saws.
