Description
The Breathedry waterproof smock is a lightweight technical garment, with an array of features which have been included with the arborist in mind.
As a fully waterproof and breathable jacket, the ATHV4400 conforms to EN343 Class 3, and incorporates an increased back length to shed water, and a high collar with waterproof zipper, inner placket and neck protector.
Inside the collar is stowed a large, adjustable helmet compatible hood – designed to be able to fit over a climbing helmet. The hood has a wired peak, a bungee volume adjuster draw cord, and a large hook & loop storm flap.
The sleeves are off generous length, and have inner soft cuffs with thumb loops, plus hook & loop tab fasteners to keep the cuffs watertight.
A large breast pocket with waterproof zipper can take a smart phone, and further large pouch pocket can be accessed by long side zippers. The pouch pocket also acts as a ventilation point, with mesh panels inside.
Further ventilation ports are concealed beneath zippers in the armpits, and there is an access zipper at the bottom of each side, useful when wearing a climbing harness.
The Breathedry waterproof smock is available in a number of smart colour options. This high visibility orange version conforms to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 and GO/RT 3279 (RIS-3279-TOM).

Arbortec Smocks
Washing
Ensure that you do not dry your smock on heat source such as radiator, as this will ruin the taped seams.
Use the Nikwax techwash to wash your smock. To be used on wet weather gear, easy and quick to apply at home in a washing machine. Nikwax is able to develop full water repellency without tumble drying.
Do up all zips on your smock before putting the garment in the washing machine to prevent the zips from becoming damaged.
Re-Proofing
The reason the water beads up and rolls off the outer of the smock is due to the water repellence finish, known as a bounce-out finish.
This finish is temporary and over time will wear off with washing. When you notice the water is no longer beading up and rolling off the smock, you can re-proof your coat with our Nikwax TX.Direct wash in waterproofing for wet weather clothing, this will add water repellence and revives breathability.
