Description
A revolutionary chest ascender that features two rollers for a smooth interface with the rope. This not only improves climbing efficiency by making the upward glide smoother. It also reduces dangerous wear on the device, where the rope tends to rub on the body of a traditional ascender.
The perfectly profiled closure keeps the rope in line with the body of the device and the rollers, preventing the rope from escaping during tight pendulums and traverses. The toothed cam is finished with a specialised anti-wear treatment and features drain holes to help prevent the buildup of mud, grit, and ice. The main body also features drain holes along the rope path to allow grit and moisture to escape during use, improving contact with the rope. Thicker body plates and a shaped connection point reduce wear on the device caused by shifting between the device and the connector (especially when used with steel connectors). This also keeps the device more in line with the body during use.
The opening mechanism is simple and secure, with a lock that keeps the device open for easier attachment and a removable pull cord for easier operation while wearing gloves. The rollers also allow the Turbochest to be rigged as a locking pulley for light hauling, with a maximum load of 50 kg (110 lb). NOTE: This configuration is not intended for hauling or securing of bodies.

- Defects resulting from fair wear and tear. Please be advised that wear and tear can be accelerated by intense usage and/or the impact of the environment in which they are used. It is your responsibility as a retailer to inform the buyer of the anticipated life of a product, the care required, and the correct fitting of any product, ensuring your “informed” customer buys the correct product. If the customer rejects your advice, you must clearly inform them that this will affect their rights should a warranty issue arise. We would strongly recommend you record this warning on their receipt. Any mis-sold product remains your responsibility, not ours. When assessing potential warranty issues with customers, please be mindful of the hours of wear some products have endured and the environment in which they are used. When we assess the impact of fair wear and tear, particular consideration will be given to the estimated product lifespan information issued with the Product.
